5 Tips for Abundant Health

For many of us, once we find our way to it, the quest for abundant health is a lifelong pursuit. Trillions of dollars globally are directed every year into health, beauty, organic foods, doctors and fields medical, metaphysical, homeopathic, shamanic and beyond in the quest for optimal health. The search for extreme well-being and long-lasting life has been going on since the dawn of self-aware human experience. Yet if the pursuit is so ancient, and so much energy is directed towards it, and so many people are seeking to achieve it, why is it that so few people actually do? While most people have had thoughts and desires of abundant health and therefore have called into being a vibrational existence that matches those thoughts and desires—the majority of people, at this moment, do not seem ready to consistently allow their emotions to match their desires. Below are five tips for allowing abundant health to flow into your everyday experience.

Get In Alignment
All of the resources that you need, everything that you want surrounding your perfect idea of being as healthy as you can be, has been amassed for you. It is all lined up perfectly for you to receive it, all you have to do is get yourself in alignment with it. There are obvious ways to get in alignment, from physical manifestations like yoga postures to the more subtle, like bringing your thoughts and emotions into alignment. When what you think makes you feel good, and you can hold those thoughts more and more consistently and feel better and better all the time, you will line up with all you need to be as healthy as you crave to be.

Know That It Is Done
If you want to have abundant health you have to be able to hold a picture of what this looks like to you in your mind. While many people can complete this step, they stop there, barred to go any further by their present experience. Rather than continuing to hold that picture in their mind and how good they feel about it, too many people turn towards what they see before them, the lack of their ideal state of health and well-being. The more that you look at what you don’t have and confirm to yourself that you don’t have what you want, the more you will have of what you don’t want. You needn't keep repeating the patterns and stories of the past. Know that manifestation has already been accomplished and all you must do is allow it in.

Want It Lightly
It is important to formulate and set goals. It is really important to know what you want and to focus upon it. However, there can be a tendency among us to get so wrapped up in thinking about our goals, and then thinking about how you want it, and then wanting it really hard, but then not feeling so great because it isn't here yet, and then seeing how you don’t feel great that it isn't here yet. It’s worthwhile to trust and to let it go for a while. You have put out into the world your thoughts and feelings regarding exactly how you want your health and well-being to be, and it has read you loud and clear. You needn't be reminding it every five seconds, all day, every day. You could not think about it all week, or all month, and still you would know what you want and it would be there for you. Remember, it’s okay to want it lightly, and it takes off the pressure, which makes it fun again. When it’s fun, it feels good and when it feels good, it comes.

Let The Current Take You
If you can imagine that your path in life is a river that is carrying you downstream at all times towards what you want, and that abundant health is just downstream awaiting your arrival, then you can learn to let the current of life take you towards all it is that you want. Your abundance and prosperity—in health and all areas of your life—is an immense river roaring by with amazing strength. You can fight the current as hard as you want to, and row and row in the little boat of your personal physical awareness against it until you have put up such a fight and are so exhausted if you like. Wouldn't it be so much nicer, though, to sit back and relax in the boat, and watch all the amazing sights and hear and smell the intriguing sounds and scents along the ride?

Make Your Thoughts Feel Great
For me, the most important part of achieving abundant health is the integration of and balance of what you think and how you feel. When you find that you are frequently able to more consciously direct the flow of what you are thinking towards thoughts that make you feel great, that make you say ‘Yes, please!’ and affirm life more and more each day, you are well on your way. Have you ever heard anyone say, “Boy, I am abundantly healthy today and I just feel lousy?” Just as much as you are what you eat, we become what we think. If you want to be as healthy as you can be, you need to have the healthiest thoughts possible, as often as you can.

The One Surefire Technique to Achieve a High Raw Diet

The One Surefire Technique to Achieve a High Raw Diet Over the years I have been approached by throngs of people who have come to me and offered some sort of variation upon, “I want to eat more raw foods, but”, or “I want to eat healthier, but”, and of course there are as many variations on the but as there are people to offer them. Some of the most often buts that I hear are, “but raw foods are expensive”, “but it is time consuming to do,” “but I could never stop eating the things I have eaten for so long”, and on and on. In truth, there are a litany of reasons people will beg, borrow, steal or invent to not allow themselves to have the things that they want. One of my favorite quotes—and it has been attributed to everyone from Mark Twain to Henry Ford—is “If you believe you can, or you believe you can’t, you’re right.” So simple and yet so certain. We never do the things that we don’t believe we can, for it isn’t in our capacity to achieve them. Anyone who has ever set forth with a goal and achieved it knew, on some level, that what they wanted was possible. Besides, who wakes up and says, “Today, I am going to attempt something which I can’t possibly do”? If you want anything in life: if you want to transition to a plant-based diet; if you want to eat more raw food; if you want to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle; if you want to be an astronaut; if you want to buy a new car—whatever it is, the very first and essential element is belief. In truth, it runs even deeper than belief. The very fastest way to get whatever you want in life is to reside in a place of absolute knowing that what you want must be, it can’t not come. If you are confident that you can transition to a high raw diet, and you know that it must be, and you can move yourself into a place of knowing, and hold that vibration as consistently as possible, you will surprise yourself, and the people around you. Our experience is made up of the narratives that we tell ourselves and each other, hour after hour, day after day. What we focus on is what we find in the world, and what we give the most energy to, is what we get the most back of. When we speak about what we don’t want, we activate it, and we bring it closer to us. The same goes for speaking about what we want. The more you focus on what you want, the more you get of what is wanted. If you want to eat a high raw diet, then say so, and leave it at that, no reason to sabotage yourself with, ‘but I can’t for x reason,’ or ‘but I might not because…’. If you are committed to changing the way that you eat, and it is your strong desire to transition to a plant-based, high raw diet, then make doing so your dominant intent. Find thoughts about it that make you feel good. See how great you look with the weight off, cultivate how amazing you feel, in your mind’s eye see, smell and taste all the wonderful foods you will make and that others will create for you. The one surefire way to a high raw diet? Knowing that, for you, it must be so, and it will come to you as quickly as you can allow it and reside in that place where you are certain, not only that it must be, but that one a much larger level, it is already done. Everything else will flow into your experience as simply and easy as your breath.

As Raw As You Wanna Be: The Blog

Welcome! It's so nice to have you as my guest here at the brand-spankin' new As Raw As You Wanna Be blog. As Raw As You Wanna Be is a raw food lifestyle philosophy that I have integrated from years creating, eating, experimenting, experiencing, observing and listening to my body and the experiences of others. When I was first introduced to raw foods their was this prevailing ideal (and in some places still is to this day) that the end goal of a raw food diet should be to eat 100% raw food. Not only would this supposedly allow you to derive all the benefits of a diet high in raw foods-and certainly there are many-but according to many this was the most natural, most acceptable and absolute best diet for human beings...and some even went so far as to say all human beings everywhere. This dogmatic approach to raw foods has driven a large segment of people away from the idea of eating raw altogether and keeps many others from attempting to incorporate more raw foods into their diet. Frankly, I found myself that a lot of the rigor and inflexibility sucked most of the fun right out of things. If creating and eating food isn't fun and enjoyable, you simply aren't doing it right! If figuring out what to eat and how to make it is going to be an all-day, nearly-impossible hassle--who in the heck is going to want to deal with that? This is why, as I have seen, so many people keep raw foods at arms length. What I have found personally, and what I strongly believe, is that raw food can be fast, easy and fun, and that it is a great base for health, wellness and longevity. I do not believe that it is necessary, or even desirable, to eat 100% raw food, all the time, exclusively, forever. Going 100% raw for a month or two may be a fantastic way to cleanse the body, but it's not an ideal way to live for the next forty or eighty years. Instead, I believe that a plant-based diet, high in raw foods, is one of the healthiest-and certainly most ethical, compassionate and sustainable-and most balanced diets available to us here in America and many other countries and locales around the world. I also believe that a 100% raw diet will be a diet lacking, or at least low in, certain nutrients, anti-oxidants and other beneficial health-giving and healing properties. I know for a fact that there are certain foods which are better for you cooked, and that if the idea is to be in the best health possible, it would be counter-productive and counter-intuitive not to eat them because they were cooked (and thereby improved). What I have encountered, as a vegan and raw food advocate, chef, entrepreneur and educator/instructor for almost a decade now, and what I still see happening to this day is the spreading of-whether with willful acknowledgment, or earnest, well-meaning-a lot of misinformation, miscommunications and the spreading of myths. As Raw As You Wanna Be means just that, you choose how raw is right for you based upon your experiences experimenting with raw foods, not based upon what someone else decided was right for everyone 20 years ago, or unrepeated, flawed studies from a century ago. As Raw As You Wanna Be is a common sense approach to a health and balanced lifestyle high in raw foods that cuts through the myths and gets right to the heart of the matter: what is raw food, why is it beneficial for you, where can you find it, how do you store and prepare it. This blog will seek out to explain all that, answer any questions you might have, and offer you with killer recipes, tips and tricks, informational and inspirational posts and more.
